Thanks Bernadette !

Bernadette added: Boo and Boohoobara in pencil. Somethin' different, eh!?! What could they be up to? They're a naughty pair.
My son said it looks creepy so I put it in the horror and macabre category, I dunno. I thought it was funny and cute, not creepy, but that's just me.

The style is unique, but vaguely similar to that "Nightmare Before Christmas" movie, so I can see where the creepy comes from.

But I like creepy art.

Marf - I see it as very sweet and actually gentle.... They are freaky characters, but a lot of her stuff revolves around love, which I find awesome. Freaky things need lovin' too. The feet of the girl turned in gives it a feel of innocence to me. I love it.

There's a bit of a story behind these characters and the heart flower. It was after my dad had passed, which is 16 months today, that I was administrator for his estate--he had no will. It was awful cleanin' the financial stuff and grieving at the same time.

When making calls to creditors and whatnot, and bein' put on hold for the umpteenth time, I'd doodle and cry. The heart flower was born and than eventually Boo and Boohoobara. They kinda just stayed with me since. It took ten months to clear his estate, but it's done. And it was after his passing that I really began to draw again.

My gosh. That had to have been the most difficult thing in the world to be faced w/.... I'm sorry for your loss.
